In the second week October, the team of Haslle had the chance to go to Vilnius, Lithuania to join the Startup Wise Guys 3 Fintech Bootcamp event. At the said event, we had the chance to spend three days, meeting 45 mentors, including #Swedbank, #Sorainen, #OPBank & #Google and with the help of the assigned mentors, pitch the idea behind our company.
Startup Wise Guys; Europe’s most experienced B2B startup accelerator, is a mentorship driven accelerator program for early stage B2B, SaaS, FinTech, Cyber Security & Defense and AI startups, providing seed capital, office space and most importantly world-class mentors. Post program, startups join the alumni community of 145+ startups in more than 40 countries and become eligible for invite-only alumni events focused on business development, fundraising and experience sharing.
At this event, we had the pleasure of meeting and networking with several business angels, venture capital funds, banks, lawyers and tech firms. SwedBank is one of the most successful banks in Nordic-Baltic European countries. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Swedbank offers retail banking, asset management, financial products as well as other services. In Lithuania alone, it’s the leading bank with the biggest number of clientele with 7.81 billion euros in total assets in 2017. Considering the fact that the bootcamp was held at SwedBank’s headquarters in Vilnius, Lithuania, our team also had the pleasant surprise of having the head of business developments of the banks introduce himself personally.
Our team also had the opportunity of taking part of the two full days of one-on-one speed mentoring to develop a pitch. This networking experience with the mentors allowed all of the teams, including ours to be challenged with technical tasks in order to develop and demo a feature from our product. Our favorite part of this event was and not limited to the fact that our mentors checked every aspect of the company in order to evaluate capabilities and maturity of the company to help us build the most accurate and relevant demo to present.
We were among 19 teams in total present and joining this fintech bootcamp event at Rock It, the prime space in Lithuania where top FinTech innovators, creators and founders build the future of Financial Technologies. We are also excited to announce that we were selected by the Standup Wise Guys to take part in their next FinTech batch!
